I understand the value here BUT don't see a possibility of implementation...each AI has a unique ID, each play has a id, each Input has an ID within the AI and the outputs are general relations between the input ID and the respective play ID. With copying either plays and AIs, the new copied AI will have a new ID but still has the input/plays relations in tact.

I could be wrong but I can see it working if we had folders in which to place those Packages. Like this;

AI #1 gets assigned Package Folder #1. Inside the Package folder are those packages you built for the AI. When you copy AI to a team, you would copy folder as well which would keep them linked. That way you do a LOT less copying and such other stuff that goes with it.
